Restaurant & Bistro

Gourmet Restaurant Villa Merton

In our stately-looking restaurant, under stucco-decorated ceilings, we offer you the perfect interplay of cuisine, service and ambience.

The simple elegance is also reflected on the plates. The kitchen team, led by star chef André Großfeld, offers you a fancy, seasonally inspired 8-course menu from Monday to Friday in addition to a vegetarian 5-course menu. You can also choose individually a la carte.

On Saturdays, the chef offers a very special arrangement: you choose your own variety from two newly compiled 4-course menus weekly.

For events, please contact André Großfeld directly, phone +49 (069) 70 30 33 or by email to:veranstaltung@restaurant-villa-merton.de.

André Großfeld

Culinary, cultural and artistic

Großfeld is a passionate chef, who was born in Telgte in 1977. He has been awarded with a Michelin star since 2006. His culinary art is based on regional fresh products, which he processes naturally but creatively. He began his career with Alfons Schuhbeck in the "Kurhausstüberl" in Waging am See.After that stations such as Michael Wollenberg´s "Marinas" in Hamburg, the legendary Munich two-star restaurant "Tantris" under the direction of Hans Haas and the "New-Brick" in the Main Plaza Frankfurt followed.

In 2005 André Großfeld was looking for new challenges and found them in the heart of the Wetterau. He opened his first own restaurant: the "GROSSFELD" - guest room of the senses, which was awarded with the Michelin star and 16 points int the Gault Millau the following year. Since January 2015 he has been the host and chef of the two new restaurants at Villa Merton. His kitchen style here was also awarded with a Michelin star the same year.
